The Presbyterian College baseball team concluded its three-game series at North Florida with a 12-2 loss on Sunday at Harmon Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. The defeat brings the Blue Hose’s season record to 2-10.

North Florida set the tone early by scoring six runs on six hits in the first inning. The Ospreys continued to build their lead, adding another run in the second for a 7-0 advantage after two innings.

Presbyterian managed to get on the scoreboard in the third inning when Jonathan Williams hit a sacrifice fly RBI, allowing Andrew Albertus—who had singled earlier in the inning—to score. North Florida responded with a run in the fifth, but Presbyterian added another run in the seventh as Bo Moody doubled and was brought home by an Albertus single.

The game ended after seven innings when North Florida scored four more runs, securing a 12-2 victory.

Andrew Albertus went 2-for-3 at bat and contributed to both of Presbyterian’s runs. Over Saturday and Sunday games against North Florida, he totaled four hits, three RBIs, and scored four runs. Jonathan Williams, Matthew Rollison, and Bo Moody also recorded hits for Presbyterian.

JJ Harrell made his first start of the season on the mound and fourth of his collegiate career. Brooks Chamberlin pitched a scoreless second inning for Presbyterian. Mikey Marroquin Jr. threw three innings out of the bullpen, giving up two hits and one run while striking out four batters—one short of his career-high from March 1, 2025 against Eastern Michigan.

Presbyterian will travel for its next game against Charleston on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., which will be broadcast on FloSports.
