The Presbyterian College women’s basketball team was defeated by USC Upstate, 58-38, in a Big South Conference game at the G.B. Hodge Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Blue Hose started strong with a 12-10 lead after the first quarter but were outscored 48-26 over the remaining three quarters.
USC Upstate limited Presbyterian to just 25.9 percent shooting from the field and held a significant rebounding advantage, collecting 41 boards compared to Presbyterian’s 30. Despite forcing 21 turnovers and recording 10 steals on defense, the Blue Hose could not overcome their offensive struggles.
Ja’Cia Cunningham led Presbyterian with 12 points, making three three-pointers to set a new season-high and tie her career-best mark. Krystal Haddock contributed nine points while Ore Ogunwolere added seven points for Presbyterian.
