The Presbyterian College women’s wrestling team achieved a decisive 42-6 win over McMurry University in their final home match of the season, held on Sunday afternoon in Clinton, South Carolina. The victory improved Presbyterian’s dual record to 17-3 and marked their fourth consecutive win.

Presbyterian secured four out of five contested bouts against McMurry, while also benefiting from several forfeits. Head coach Brian Vutianitis noted the team’s strong performance since mid-December, with the Blue Hose posting a 13-1 record since December 17 and surpassing the 40-point mark for the tenth time this season.

Junior Charlee Shuler quickly pinned her opponent in just 38 seconds at the 124-pound weight class. Sophomore Kassey Daugherty, currently ranked seventh nationally at 131 pounds, extended her winning streak to 21 matches. Freshman Elizabeth Donovan won twice on Sunday—once by technical fall during the dual and again by pin in an exhibition match.

During the event, Maddie Kubicki and Alyssa Mahan were recognized for recent achievements at the Grand Prix De France, where they earned gold and silver medals respectively.

Presbyterian claimed victories through both competition wins and forfeits across multiple weight classes. The team now prepares for its next challenge at the Georgia Open hosted by Emmanuel College next Saturday in Franklin Springs. Action is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM as Presbyterian aims to add to its tally of nine individual titles from eight different athletes this season.
