The South Carolina Association of Area Agencies on Aging has launched its 2026 Needs Assessment Survey to collect input from older adults, caregivers, professionals, and community members in the Upper Savannah Region. The survey is focused on identifying and prioritizing the needs of seniors living in Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, and Saluda counties.

According to the organization, feedback from the survey will influence how services such as transportation, meal programs, in-home support, caregiver resources, and health services are planned and funded across these counties. The information gathered will play a key role in shaping future aging services in South Carolina.

The survey is anonymous and can be completed quickly. Participants may skip any questions they do not wish to answer. The association encourages community members to help spread awareness by sharing the survey link on social media or including it in newsletters and email communications.

A spokesperson for the association stated: “The more responses we receive, the stronger our ability to advocate, plan, and secure funding for the services our communities depend on.”

The association emphasized collective effort by adding: “Together, we can ensure that the needs of older adults are heard, clearly, accurately, and powerfully.”
