Cost of college went up for all students at Erskine College

Tuition and fees rose 2.6 percent for 2018-19 at Erskine College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

South Carolina students paid $36,150 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,590 more than the $34,560 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 190 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.2 million and 137 students took out student loans totaling more than $458,046.

Including all undergraduates (693), 583 students used grants or scholarships totaling $9.8 million, and 405 students took out $1.4 million in federal student loans.
