Champion for Greenwood County: Council Chairman Steve Brown dies
It is with heartfelt and sincere sadness that we acknowledge the passing of County Council Chairman Steven J. Brown. Chairman Brown was a true advocate, visionary, and leader for Greenwood County. He always placed the best interest of the citizens foremost in his heart and mind. Chairman Brown served his native Greenwood community for over 36 years, and the fruits of his work are currently, and will continually be, reaped over the foreseeable future. While his service to the County Council was limited to eight years, Chairman Brown’s impact to the County of Greenwood is virtually limitless. County Council stands with Beverly, Meagan, Gavin, and the rest of his family during this time of sadness and loss. The Greenwood community is better for the commitment and life lived by Steven J. Brown.
