Abbeville Area Medical Center issued the following announcement on January 14.
AAMC and the Abbeville YMCA announced today that they have signed a partnership agreement that will allow the YMCA to lease the hospital’s Wellness Center effective March 1st. AAMC’s patient rehabilitation services will continue to be housed in the area adjacent to the Wellness area and will not be affected.
The multi-year agreement will allow the Abbeville YMCA and hospital to provide additional health and wellness programming to the community. Facility hours will be expanded to 6:00am – 7:00pm Monday through Friday and members will have access to all Lakelands YMCA facilities.
YMCA personnel will be on-site to assist current AAMC Wellness Center members to move memberships to the Abbeville YMCA beginning February 1st. Existing membership fees will remain in place through the end of 2022.
