Lander University Welcomes Next Generation of Bearcats

Lander University welcomed its newest Bearcat family members to campus throughout June during orientation sessions and Bearcat camp.

Orientation sessions give incoming freshmen a taste of life at college. During orientation, future students connected with their peers, attended academic college sessions, met with IT and attended various other sessions throughout the day, as well as learning how to get involved in campus life. Additional sessions are also available for parents of incoming students.

Bearcat Camp is an extended orientation program designed to assist students in the transition to college life. Students are divided into Family Groups with two orientation leaders as mentors. The students spend three days exploring campus and getting a head start on making connections with other new students and current campus leaders.

Lander will welcome a final group of new students during the orientation beginning on July 25. For more information on the University’s orientation programs, please visit www.lander.edu/orientation.
