Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Announces 2nd Medically Speaking Program-“Surgical Robotics: What’s In It For Greenwood” Featuring Dr. Todd Hansen

The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Announces 2nd Medically Speaking Program-“Surgical Robotics: What’s In It For Greenwood” Featuring Dr. Todd Hansen 

Greenwood, SC - The Greenwood SC Chamber of Commerce, the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation, and Lander University are pleased to announce the 2nd Medically Speaking Program for Chamber members and the community. 

New to Greenwood, Dr. Todd Hansen, Urologist, will present a program on “Surgical Robotics: What’s In It For Greenwood.  The program will take place at Abney Cultural Center Auditorium from 5:30 p.m. After the program, attendees will partake in a reception with light refreshments sponsored by Lander University.  

“The first Medically Speaking program was very well attended and we hope that attendance will continue to grow. This new series gives us an opportunity to showcase our healthcare system and how it benefits the quality of life in Greenwood and the Lakelands region. We know how important Self Regional and healthcare is to our members and to our community, and our Chamber is thrilled to be part of this effort.  We’re also grateful to Lander University for hosting this event,”  said Cathy Miller, Interim President and CEO of Greenwood SC Chamber of Commerce.  

One additional program is planned for December, 2022 and will focus on the prevention and treatment of strokes, featuring feature Dallas Swartzentruber, Coordinator of Self Regional’s Stroke and Trauma Program and Jennifer Clary, Director of the Stroke Program at Self Regional. 

“We are happy to work with the Chamber on this initiative as this series ties in with the Self Regional Healthcare Foundations goal to provide service and education on healthcare to the community.’ The Foundation’s Business and Industry Committee has sponsored healthcare cost containment programs and CEO roundtables for area businesses and industries over the last 6 1/2 years,” said Ken Coffey, Executive Director of Self Regional Healthcare Foundation.
