As an announcement, Mayor Foster Senn read a letter addressed to council from Doug Heydt, chairman of the Newberry Soil and Water Conservation District, and Scott Lukoski, chairman of Keep Newberry County Beautiful expressing their thanks to council, city staff and administration for partnering with the Keep Newberry Beautiful Summer Fair.

“Approximately 10,000 people from all over the state came to enjoy our family friendly event,” the letter said.

Heydt and Lukoski said the fair was planned to be an annual event and they appreciated the City of Newberry’s support.

Council will meet again for their regular meeting on Tuesday, November 8 at 7 p.m.
