Lander Students Explore Latinx Culture through Art

Dennis Perry Jr., of Barnwell, admires artwork on display in Lander University’s Jackson Library at the Palmetto Luna’s Latino Arts Collection exhibit on Dec. 5. “It’s great to have an opportunity to learn more about other cultures through art,” said Perry. The collection will be on display through Dec. 13 in the library and is open to the public, and includes work from more than a dozen Latinx artists. The exhibit is presented by the South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs and Lander’s El Puente Latino, a program that provides educational and financial aid resources to the Hispanic community.
