4.1% of Saluda County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Saluda County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 347 people out of the 19,008 living in Saluda County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Saluda County has decreased compared to the 4.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Saluda County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 8,140 people who had a job during that time, 6 were employed in the Armed Forces and 8,134 belonged to the civilian labor force.
