19 sports coaches at institution in Laurens County earn on average $51,996 in 2022

Laurens County’s 19 coaches earned an average salary of $51,996 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the ninth highest average salary per county earned by coaches at South Carolina post-secondary schools during 2022.

Laurens County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $65,959 on average in Laurens County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $41,841.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
