U.S. Representative Jeff Duncan has donated his congressional papers to Clemson University's Special Collections and Archives. Duncan, who is a native of South Carolina, graduated with a degree in political science from Clemson University and was part of the university's football team under Coach Danny Ford.

Duncan served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010 and represented South Carolina’s Third District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 until 2025. His donation includes legislative work, speeches, recordings, and correspondence with significant political figures, providing insight into his fourteen years in office.

Known for supporting free markets and limited government, Duncan participated in various caucuses such as the House Freedom Caucus and the Republican Study Committee. He also served on several committees including Energy & Commerce and Homeland Security. In the 118th Congress, he chaired the Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security.

Throughout his career, Duncan received numerous awards like the Freedom Fighter Award and Order of the Palmetto. His papers are expected to be valuable resources for Clemson's political science students.

“I am proud of the Political Science degree I obtained from Clemson in 1988! I am even more proud to represent the University on Capitol Hill as the only Clemson Graduate in the US Congress," said Jeff Duncan.

Clemson University President Jim Clements expressed gratitude for Duncan's contributions: "I am incredibly thankful for all that Congressman Duncan has done for Clemson University and the state of South Carolina during his many years of service."
