There were two gas stations in cities across Newberry County selling premium gas at the lowest price of $3.59 per gallon in the week ending Feb. 8, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.com.
The average reported cost of premium gas in cities within Newberry County was $3.70 per gallon.
Of the 37 reported gas stations in cities within Newberry County, seven offer premium gas.
The average reported price of premium gas in South Carolina was $3.65, compared to $3.54 the week before.
Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51.
